Route 1: Medikamendo — order like in a shop, just for prescriptions
Via our partner platform Medikamendo you order your repeat prescription online: choose your doctor, state the medication, pick your preferred pharmacy — done. You get a message as soon as the e-prescription is ready and your pharmacy has the medication in stock. Never walk to the pharmacy in vain again.

Routes 2 & 3: online reception or Clara
Not keen on another platform? You already have two routes anyway: via the online reception (protected message channel, bottom right on every page) you send us your repeat prescription request directly. Or you call — Clara takes prescription requests around the clock, including nights and weekends, and passes them to the team.
Whichever route: the finished e-prescription is issued to your health card. You simply take the card to your pharmacy — no paper, no pick-up at the practice. Alternatively, redeem it in the gematik e-prescription app or your mail-order pharmacy’s app.
What is not a repeat prescription — the honest part
A repeat prescription assumes we know your medication and it continues unchanged. In these cases we briefly need you in person:
- New symptoms or a change in effect — then an appointment is the safe route, not a prescription into the blue
- The pill: once a year a blood pressure and history check — after that, repeats run smoothly again
- First prescriptions — we only prescribe new medication after consultation
- Controlled substances & special prescriptions — legally tied to attending in person
Frequent questions about prescriptions
What does the e-prescription cost me?
Nothing beyond the usual statutory co-payment at the pharmacy. Medikamendo, the online reception and Clara are free.
How do I redeem an e-prescription?
Simply take your health card to the pharmacy — the prescription is stored digitally. Alternatively via the gematik app or your mail-order pharmacy’s app. A paper printout is possible but not necessary.
Can someone else collect my medication?
Yes — whoever presents your health card can redeem the e-prescription for you. So only give your card to people you trust.
I have private insurance — does this work too?
Yes. Depending on the state of private-insurer integration you receive an e-prescription or a classic private prescription — we tell you at ordering which one it will be.
Why do you ask about the pill once a year?
Because the yearly check (blood pressure, history) is the medical standard — renewing hormonal contraception without any check would be convenient, but not good medicine.
